
Educational Philosophy

I believe each person has a unique mind that needs to be discovered and allowed to flourish. It is my ultimate goal to provide the opportunity for them to recognize their brilliance, and learn to foster their growth.
Experience
Dr. Michelle received highest honors while obtaining her PhD in Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School for Professional Psychology. She earned her pre-doc hours conducting neuropsychological batteries for children and adolescents, and obtained her post-doc hours as a child, adult and family therapist.
Dr. Michelle worked throughout the school system as a one-on-one aid and behaviorist supervisor. She has created functional behavioral analyses and educational plans for students; and has taught numerous parent-educated classes and differentiated instruction for classroom teachers.
Dr. Michelle has served as an expert at Individual Educational Plan (IEP) meetings, and is trained in many evidence-based programs. She has taught various core subjects with home-schooled students, as well as enrichment courses in the classroom.
Dr. Michelle has extensive experience working with gifted students, adult executives, and young adults going through transitions: college, work-force, relationships. She is highly trained in working with individuals with autism, ADHD, anxiety, emotional disturbances, and learning difficulties. She specializes in the areas of: executive functioning, life coaching, reading comprehension and fluency, academic writing, and study skills.
Dr. Michelle strongly believes in the whole-person approach; recognizing and understanding each individual’s social, emotional, behavioral, and educational needs. She strives to create, implement, and modify instruction tailored to each client.
